'Great Day to be an Aggie'

GREENBORO, North Carolina -- Before the end of the third quarter, with the game well in hand, the bleacher seats inside Aggie Stadium began to empty.

The siren song of the tailgate parties outside the stadium called to the 21,500-plus packed shoulder-to-shoulder. The ocean of humanity began its ebb tide toward the live music, vendors and cookouts.
There was much to celebrate.

Tarik Cohen ran for 137 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries, and N.C. A&T’s defense held winless Howard to 31 rushing yards as the Aggies clobbered the Bison 65-14.

“Happy homecoming,” A&T coach Rod Broadway said. “... I’m proud of everybody today. It’s a great day to be an Aggie.”

Broadway is now 5-0 on homecoming. After seven straight homecoming losses had seriously wounded Aggie Pride, it’s the game he was hired to win.
