TSU Stout, Fultz Named to OVC All-Newcomer Team


MUSCLE SHOALS, Alabama – Jermey Fultz and Andy Stout have been named to the 2015 Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer team. The duo became the second and third golfers in school history to receive the distinction. Current senior James Stepp in 2012 was the first Tiger to be selected to the squad.

Stout was second in the OVC for newcomers with a 73.6 strokes per round average. On the year, Stout gained a top five finish, a top 10 finish and three top20 placings. The Manchester, Tenn., native carded his best outing of the season on Mar. 17, as he fired a 5-under, 67, during the third round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.

Fultz finished just behind his fellow classmate with a 73.9 strokes per round. The Knoxville product placed in the top 20 three times and shot a career best 5-under, 67, during the first round of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate on Oct. 20.

The Tigers continue play during the second round of the OVC Championships on Saturday at The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
